COURSES OF STUDY WITH COMBINATIONS AVAILABLE

The College offers honour courses in 14 subjects. Besides, general courses are offered in 4 different streams. The

different subjects/courses offered are listed below, with the number of seats available given below:

A. General Courses

(i) Three Year Degree Course (General) for B.Sc.

(a) B.Sc. (Physical Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Seats Available : 150

(b) B.Sc. (Biological Science) with Zoology, Botany and Physiology

Compulsory: Modern Indian Language, English and Environmental Studies

Seats Available : 150

(ii) Three Year Degree Course (General) for B.A.

Seats Available : 150

A student has to take THREE subjects from the following groups, taking not more than ONE subject from any particular group: Seats Available : 100

(ii) BENGALI OR HINDI — 50 MARKS

2. ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES — 100 MARKS

iii) Three Year Degree Course (General) for B.Com. (Accounting and Finance Group) First year: (Compulsory General Papers) Seats Available : 150

Language: Modern Indian Language (Hindi/ Bengali), Communicative English. (Refer to the box above)

Financial Accounting I, Business Regulatory Framework, Principles & Practice of Management & Business Communication, Economics I, Business Mathematics & Statistics.

Second Year: (Compulsory General Papers)

Information Technology & Its Application in Business, Principles of Marketing & e-Commerce. Financial Accounting II, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Cost & Management Accounting I, Auditing.

Third Year: Financial Accounting III, Cost & Management Accounting II, Financial Management.Compulsory paper : Environmental Studies.

B. Honours Courses

Financial Accounting I, Business Regulatory Framework, Principles & Practice of Management & Business Communication, Economics I, Business Mathematics & Statistics.

Second Year: (Compulsory General Papers) Information Technology & Its Application in Business, Principles of Marketing & e-Commerce.

Economics II, Financial Accounting II, Direct and Indirect Taxation, Cost & Management Accounting. Third Year:

Financial Accounting III, Auditing, Indian Financial System and Financial Market Operations, Financial Management and Project work.
